As to the movie itself which I hope will spark this tidal wave, in my humble and unlearned opinion it was rather brilliant. This film did what none of the films has done so far; it ignored the fans. Before I go on, I will state [unnecessarily] that I AM A FAN. That said, this the film really worked. It worked as a film, which is so important. I felt the last film was jerky, more a collection of disjointed recollections than a narrative stream. This film, however, whilst incorporating the much-missed Qudditch theme of the fifth book, managed to cut about every other corner, to it's advantage I'll add, to become a stream-lined, seat of your pants - PROPER - film. They missed out so much, and the purists among us of course will scream bloody murder. Where, they will ask, is Eileen Prince? Why, they will ask, have they changed the astronomy tower tower scene? Why, WE will ask, won't you G£ET A LIFE! The difficulties in writing, shooting and editing a film are such that you and I cannot comprehend them, yet we freely criticise. "They should have done this!" we cry, "They should have done that!" What David Yates has done is give a movie that is more movie and less book and if you want the book then I have only one piece of advice: Read The Book. Aquire a visual imagination or a pen. Proceed to self-indulge. It's like artistic masturbation, like Puccini.
P.P.S: Loads of people disagree with me. Oh well
